For Giovanni

My son Giovanni has been through so much in his life since he was born. He was in the NICU for the first three months of his life. Giovanni was born at 30 weeks and had to deal with a left lung mass that had a very large blood vessel, he also has a grade four brain bleed which is the worst kind that will affect his development later on in life as in walking or talking. He was discharged from the NICU on January 5th but had to come back to the hospital February 8th to have the left lung mass removed since the mass was becoming very aggressive and also had his feeding tube changed to a MIC-KEY button. The surgery was a success they took 80% of his lung out and removed the large blood vessels that formed there.. but now Giovanni is having a difficult time breathing it was to the point where his face would turn bluish purplish color in his face. Within every hour he would stop breathing about 10 times the doctors finally decided to intubate him. So now a machine is breathing for Giovanni. The doctors have no idea why he’s not breathing on his own they have done X-rays on his lung everything looks fine there they believe it’s something from his heart now. Staying here at the hospital with my son has become very expensive and while my husband works two jobs everyday it’s not enough with all of Giovanni’s expenses and his insurance only covering only half of his supplies for his new feeding tube. My husband and I are very proud people and hate to ask this but anything will help. We love our son so much and it breaks our hearts everyday to see him like this. No parent should go though this to see their child in this kind of state. Please keep Giovanni in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much.
