Kayla's Breast Cancer Fund

Kayla Schmader, 28, was diagnosed with IDC (Invasive Ductal Carcinoma) on January 18, 2018. Kayla’s cancer is Phase 3 and highly aggressive. After consulting with doctors, and medical professionals, she has decided to have a bilateral mastectomy. Kayla’s surgery is scheduled for February 12, 2018, after which we will know more regarding specific treatment options and the exact stage of her cancer. Please keep Kayla and her family in your prayers!Kayla and her husband Sonny are parents of two beautiful children Nyla, 5 months, and Kason 3. They have a loving group of family and friends supporting them. Unfortunately, there will be major costs associated with the surgery and the medical treatment Kayla must endure.Kayla will also be unable to work for an extended period of time due to her treatment, and her field of work as a LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist).

Kayla and I have been best friends for 20 + years. Met in elementary school here in Freedom, Pennsylvania and have been inseparable since. Her strong will to fight this makes me realize this won't define her or change the super mom that she is. She's beautiful inside and out and this journey will only make her stronger.
These past few years have been very trying for the both of us, but through god and a strong friendship we've come out stronger than ever. I know I need the help of you, and our community to see that Kayla and her family can focus on getting her better, with the best care possible.
