Giving hope to Juan and Maria

On February 1, 2018 at around 6 PM on Pajarito Mesa my father noticed that part of his house was burning. He quickly realized that he would not be able to put it out on his own so he called 911. Juan Silva and Maria Soto lost everything except for the clothes on their backs. Maria Soto is fighting Stage 4 cancer.  After the removal of both brain and spinal tumors Maria has been paralized from the waste down. She requires medication and 24 hour supervison. It is for this reason that Juan is unemployed and is her caregiver.  Along with personal belongings they lost all of their legal documentation (ex. ID's, passports, birthcerticates, etc.)Here is the news report for that evening.
