Ernest O. Hebson NBA Hall of Fame Fund

The Fort Walton Beach High School Viking Band Alumni Class of 1977 are seeking donations to collect $2400.00 to pay the nomination fee that must accompany our nomination request to have Mr. Hebson inducted in the NATIONAL BAND ASSOCIATION HALL OF FAME OF DISTINGUISHED BAND CONDUCTORS. Mr. Hebson was inducted to the Florida Bandmasters Association Hall of Fame
in 2004, and the video shown on this page is a project from the Florida Bandmasters Association site also. These are great honors bestowed upon Mr. Hebson, but we feel he deserves to be recognized nationally for his many years of dedicated teaching to the band students of Fort Walton Beach High School.
By his insistence on excellence, he taught us many lessons that carried forward in our lives as adults. He inspired us to be the best we could possibly be, and taught us that hard work and persistence were necessary for success.
We are calling on fellow band members, and other band supporters, to contribute any amount possible for us to reach our goal and show our appreciation to Mr. Ernest O. Hebson for everything he taught us.
