Cancer Treatment For Jethro

Two weeks ago, our beloved Boxer/English Bulldog mix, Dolly was struck with an autoimmune disease, ITP, and went from being a healthy, crazy girl to losing her life in just a few, short days. We tried everything we could to save her, but the disease won and we had to let her go. Our hearts are still freshly wounded from Dolly’s passing and we noticed our Boxer, Jethro, acting funny, in the middle of the night. He threw up his dinner, in bed and when we took him outside, he just laid down, which was very strange, so we rushed him to the ER Vet, where we were told that he had fluid around his heart, caused by a ruptured, cancerous tumor. They were able to drain the fluid and our little fighter is recovering the best he can, but now we need to continue his care and bring him to an oncologist and possibly undergo open heart surgery, for his best chance of surviving. After having done all we could to save Dolly, just 2 weeks ago, now are faced with Jethro’s bills and, hopefully, long term care, PLUS expecting our first baby, we are facing a terrible financial challenge. If you know us, you know we have NEVER done this sort of thing before and asking for money for ourselves isn’t our style... but we will do ANYTHING for our fur babies. If you are in a position to help, we would greatly appreciate it. If you can’t, we totally understand and hope you will still keep Jethro in your heart, during his fight against cancer.
