Gracing Gracie: Helping Miss Priss

Donation protected
Gracin Davidson is a little 12 year old red-headed spitfire from West Tennessee. She was born with a chromosomal defect named 1P36 Deletion Syndrome. This syndrome is estimated to appear in only 1 out of 5 to 10 THOUSAND births. Currently, Gracin is admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital after undergoing surgery to fix a malfunctioning MIC-Key Button. She has been hospitalized since Friday January 19th after being transferred for emergency surgery. Her button is the only way Gracie can recieve nourishment or medications at home. Because of her compromised state, and the defect with the button, she has developed complications. Fortunately, she is receiving top notch care and has made some baby steps towards her journey home. She has been on a bipap machine to maintain her oxygen levels, multiple medications and has had central and arterial lines surgically inserted. The physicians are expecting a long recovery in the PICU and Gracie is in what they call "a delicate situation". Gracies's mother has been by her side every day and is not in a position to return home and return to work until her baby is ready to go home. As there are many expenses related to, even her daily normal care, the added expense of this long-term stay is devastating financially. Please consider a donation to Gracie's fund to help alleviate the added worry and stress to her family.
