The Gallien Family Fresh Start Fund!!!!!

Hi, my name is Jamila or Mila for short. I am a proud single mother of three amazing, strong, and loving children! Taylor my son is 17 and a jr. In high school. My daughter Mariya is 8 and zooming through second grade! The baby of the family is Kobe, who is 5 and making his mark in kindergarten! These three precious children are what gave me the strength to fight leukemia.

In February of 2011 I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, for short A.L.L. I completed 8 rounds of chemotherapy and unfortunately had a great deal of side effects.

This caused me to be admitted into the hospital for months at a time. To top it all off I was told that in order for me to be able to beat the cancer, a Bone Marrow Transplant was needed. I was very scared and felt like it was just all too much, but I had to fight for my kids, they needed me. So I used that as fuel to fight for my life.



July 3 2013, I received my Bone Marrow Transplant!

I felt so blessed but extremely terrified. The only thing that brought me comfort was Jesus. I gave all the fear and weakness I was feeling over to Him. I let go and let God. And by his healing grace I can proudly say that my Leukemia is in remission!

I have learned so much about life and what's truly important. It has been a very difficult two years emotionally and financially. But I choose to dwell on the positive parts of my journey fighting cancer. I am closer and emotionally intune with my children. Most importantly my personal relationship with God is so much stronger and I feel like it makes me a better mother, daughter, sister and friend.

When I received my transplant I was given a second chance at life. A fresh start, a new beginning. While God provided for my family while I was fighting cancer, I had to let go of a lot of things. While I have family that allows my children and I to stay with them, my children and I need help getting back on our feet.


I am asking for donations to help my family and I to be able to move into a house. Your help would also fund getting beds and basic furniture so I can make a home for my kids who have been through so much. I am a transplant recipient, so weekly appointments with my doctor are very important for me to get to. Your kind donations will enable me to purchase a reliable car. I would be so greatful to have a car to help my family and I get back into the routine of life.
