I am a musician in rural Texas. I make a living playing guitar and singing, but now my ability to work is impossible.

I broke my hand. Which is now healed but put me out of work. More importantly, I need cataract surgery; without it, I can’t drive to gigs. Bills are piling up, and without work, I can’t come up with the money to get the medical attention I need to earn a living.

I’ve been priced out of health insurance for a long time, so now it is getting desperate. Bills are piling up, and I can’t fix the problem without help. I’ve never asked for charity in my life. But, my credit is tanking.

My mother is helping, but she has only so much she can give. Her husband has his health issues as well. Sadly, we aren’t getting any younger, and I’m not sure where to turn.

In the past, I’ve put together benefits to help a soldier, musician, or person in need. I’ve never asked for anything for myself. I never considered I would be in this position. But now, I’m asking for your help. Below are a couple of links to my performances.

P.S. I am a hard worker. I do other jobs as I find them. I clean houses and can do windows, etc. However, until I get the surgery, I'm unable to drive during the day now. But I'm very good at doing benefits and shows... I want to give back.
