Morty - Needs Emergency Surgery

Many of you have become aware, that Morty has been struggling this last week with being sick. He and I have been to the vet at least once a day for the past week with no answers as to why he couldn't eat, he was vomiting, and was extremely lethargic. Between blood tests, x-rays, ultrasound, medication we finally got answers that we needed today when we went to Metro paws White Rock and saw Dr. Sarpong. She examined every detail, to make sure I would finally have the answers I so desperately hoped for! After more x-rays and tests today, we found that he has severe blockage in his stomach, caused by a foreign object. Unfortunately for my sick little buddy, he has to be rested to emergency surgery and is there right now. He has fought extremely hard and has kept such a positive attitude even though he has been so very sick this last week. He is my best friend, and those of you who have met him know how loving, and sweet he is. He has never met a stranger. It turns out emergency surgery including everything that goes along with it is extremely expensive. Initial vet visits before today have been 1200+ dollars. Those of you who know me can attest that I am pretty tough, but when it comes to my dogs and especially Morty, I am like butter on a hot stove. I just melt. I would do anything for my babies, and therefore I am asking for a little bit of help from my friends. If there's anything that you guys could do to assist in helping with expenses for his surgery, I would be a eternally grateful. Therefore I am asking humbly for assistance. I'm thankful for Metro Paws for being so diligent and moving quickly so that he has a fighting chance. I'm also thankful for everyone who has reached out over the past week to make sure he was OK and sent your genuine concerns via text and calls and Facebook. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
