Funds to help Crazy Alice

Alice is two and a half and has already outlived her live expectancy. She has a rare and incurable metabolic condition called Non Ketotic Hyperglycinemia (not to be confused with Hypoglycemia). Sadly most children born with this condition do not make it out of toddlerhood and those that do fight an everyday battle with seizures, brain damage, floppy or spastic muscle tone, have trouble or are unable to eat, sit walk or talk and are susceptible to infection. Alice is doing well in terms of NKH, but she is still fighting an uphill battle to do every day tasks and we simply do not know how long we have her. As a family we will do everything we can for our girl and financially we are struggling to do this. The government will fund Alices wheelchair but not a $600 sun cover for it (we live in Western Australia!) nor will they meet the costs of approximately $3500 for a fully supportive seating system so she can eat with us at a table and be restrained enough to develop her fine motor skills. We have set a goal of $5000Aus as we have many many other out of pocket expenses for Alice.
