Hey y’all, we are Jason & Patrick, 504 Craft Beer Reserve's co-founders. Like many other small businesses, Covid-19 abruptly interrupted our plans and wreaked havoc on our business.

This is our story…

Our hardships began when the government shut down all non-essential businesses. It meant we had to close the taproom. Losing draft sales devastated our revenue model.

The mandates did allow us to continue selling package beer to-go. It was a blessing to have income, and our employees were making money. Weeks into the pandemic, 504 became a morale booster to many affected by the quarantine.

Sales remained steady over the next few months. Without customers drinking at the taproom, it soon became clear we were losing money. Maintaining operations this way would hurt us, but we knew we had to stay open. It was benefitting too many people. It raised community morale, and families relied on 504's income to survive. Besides, the government disaster funds would soon be accessible.

Despite operating at a loss, we kept the doors open. We hoped to receive federal funds. After months of explaining our case, all significant programs denied us. We did receive 15K from the LA Main Street Recovery program which helped us survive.

Although disappointed, we hoped the economy would bounce back fast and help us recover naturally over time. Business came back, but it's different than before. We managed to make it this far, but the natural recovery plan is taking too long. So, now we call on you, our supporters for help.
