Help Pradeep Dola and his family

We never expected a day would come where we had to create a GoFundMe page for our dearest friend Pradeep, at an early age of 38. It is with a heavy heart we request your aid in helping Pradeep and his family.

April 2nd evening was just another Friday evening when Pradeep and Sameera met a couple of friends at home to celebrate a friend’s birthday. After friends left at 11:40 pm, they went to bed around 12:10 AM. Sameera never thought that the biggest tragedy of her life would occur on that day. At around 5 AM on April 3rd, Sameera woke up to strange snoring sounds made by Pradeep. When she tried to wake him up, she noticed that he was not responding. She immediately suspected amiss and called 911. The few minutes between call and the time paramedics arrived were the longest minutes in her life. She did CPR on the person she loved the most, while she was in a great shock. All this happened with their 5-year-old sleeping just few yards away.

 Doctors who attended Pradeep, informed us that he had a brain aneurysm which also resulted in cardiac arrest before he was brought to the hospital. To cure the aneurysm and relieve the pressure in brain doctors had to do Craniotomy surgery immediately. Internal bleeding damaged one part of the brain and cardiac arrest had damaged the rest. Right now, both sides of his brain were severely damaged. His surgery was done on April 3rd. Currently, Pradeep is in deep coma and is on life support. Pradeep will undergo Tracheostomy and other critical medical procedures in the coming days. He needs long-term care and rehabilitation for a long time. The doctors along with his friends and family are carefully monitoring his situation.

 Pradeep has a loving wife Sameera and a 5-year-old son, Dhruv. The road ahead for recovery for Pradeep is long and painful one. One cannot imagine the pain and suffering Sameera is going through and financial burden should not weigh her further down. 

 We as friends have initiated this fundraising to reduce some financial burden on Sameera while she fights this exhausting battle.
