Service Dog For Mobility
Donation protected
I have been disabled since I was five years old due to a non-cancerous tumor in my spinal cord. The surgery they had conducted had given me partial paralysis, due to the placement of the tumor, it was unavoidable. I have combating my disability for 15 years, since now I am 22. I am fighting to survive and live my life fully. Currently, I live on my own and have difficulty bending down, carrying things and picking myself up when I fall. One day my disability will rob me of my mobility that I do have and bind me completely to a wheelchair for the rest of my life. A Service dog would greatly help me with my everyday situations and quality of life. I have faced every day challenges that people normally wouldn't expect that can make the simplest things a challenge of everyday tasks. Some are just being able to stand up from a fall or picking up an object from the floor.
I refuse to be knocked down by my disability or stopped from living my life. A service dog would help me achieve my goals of independence, after all, who doesn't want to be independent? I have found an amazing service dog trainer who would not only help me find the perfect dog but train them to be my service dog. Since I am limited to what I can afford, he's way out of my price range. Most service dog locations have a long wait list and even longer wait for the dog themselves. Please, anything is appreciated and any help would be so incredible.
