Niki’s Life Saving Treatment

Niki is my wife! She has a big heart and loves to help other people! She is the mother of our two kids! One 12 and one 16. Niki was diagnosed as a teen with Anorexia Nervosa! For those who are not familiar with the disease, it is both mentally and physically devastating! It tries to steal everything from you and destroy your life and family. This is not about eating and throwing up! That is not how Anorexia attacks! Instead it distorts your perception of yourself and makes you think you are worthless. You just don’t eat! Over time it ravages your physical body and breaks it down with a myriad of other diseases. It is not a choice! She has managed to keep it under control to a point, but after having our second child, the disease came back with a vengeance and has been eating away at her and her family slowly taking everything. Within the past year and a half she has decided to speak out more and has a desire to become and advocate for Eating disorder recovery. We moved from Michigan to Georgia in September of 2016 to hopefully start a new life! I have been gainfully employed and have good insurance that covers most of the treatment but the financial toll has been taken by this terrible disease and has left us playing catch up and living check to check! I am swallowing my pride and asking you for help in saving her life and my family! Castlewood is an Eating disorder treatment center In Birmingham Alabama that gives us hope for her recovery. Our cost is only $1795 for the treatment that is due upon admitting and $1000 for her housing for 1 month. Time is of the essence, this has been attacking my family for too long and I cannot let it win! Please help Niki to recover so she can have her life back and hopefully help bring awareness to other people that recovery is possible!
