Help A US Veteran

Hey there! My name is Sam Melton and I am raising money to help a friend of mine. His name is Addison Barber and he is a United States Marine Core veteran who fought in Vietnam. He is 13th generation miliatary!  He also was an Eagle Scout and earned his award from Dwight D. Eisenhower himself!  Unfortunately, a couple years ago Ad (nickname) had a stroke which paralyzed him on the left side of his body. Ever since then life has been really hard. He is wheelchair bound and home bound.  He needs assistance with many activities you and I take for granted.  Every winter he goes without heat because he doesn't have enough money to pay all the bills and he eats only one small meal a day from meals on wheels. I started taking care of him about one year after his stroke and I help him do everyday tasks he can’t do. After witnessing him living in terrible conditions, I’ve decided to try and start this page to help him get out of this hole he’s in. Since he can’t work he only receives social social security which is next to nothing. Also since the stroke was not caused by military action he is not able to receive anything from the VA.  He served our country and gave so much, so I would like to be able to give back.  He needs oil for heat, food and some improvements to his house.  If you can donate, please do, if you pray, please do.  Thank you so much.
