As many of you know my 2 1/2 year old niece has been at UCSF for almost a week. She was Life Flighted down there after her BP sky-rocketed following a second surgery for her tonsils. She has been undergoing test trying to rule out what could be causing her medical problems. As they rule out certain problems the diagnoses worsen. They are talking about a tumor on her adrenal glands as a possibility...... SCARY!! They will continue over the next 36 hours to do tests that will confirm that, by sedating her yet again. Each time they sedate her it is also scary because she has had adverse reactions to meds and her BP continues to be out of control.
Thankfully Chad has great insurance, but everything else that they are dealing with right now is very expensive. They have both been off work and in SF since Tuesday. Food, parking, room.....it all adds up. We have had family and friends pay for a room for them at a hotel for numerous nights. The Dr's don't know how long she will be there and Chad and Amanda will remain by her side. They need help with expenses and continued prayers. I know they have felt the love, prayers, energy and light everyone has been sending them already and are forever grateful for the outpouring!! I am hoping by doing this I can help them alleviate some of the financial burden this is bringing on them. It could go on for awhile, we just don't know.
