Beau Wants to Run!
Donation protected
Beau has a dream to run the bases at the Braves stadium in Atlanta... all by himself. Right now Beau, who had a stroke when he was born, uses braces on his legs and a walker to get around. He doesn't let his equipment slow him down, but his Cerebral Palsy causes his muscles to tighten and he gets tired easily. He wouldn't admit it (because he's delt with it his entire 4 year old life) but Beau's muscles are sore and they hurt all of the time. Luckily for Beau, there is a procedure called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy that can greatly decrease the tightness in his muscles... forever! Beau met with a doctor on Monday, June 9 named Dr. Park who feels like Beau would benefit from the rhizotomy procedure. He'll have to travel to St. Louis, but Beau is so excited to run, he has already started working to strengthen his legs with daily therapy at home. Beau is raising money to help cover the cost of his procedure, five days at St. Louis Children's Hospital and the travel expenses that he will incur while getting his "new legs." Please help by contribuiting to Beau's cause! He will have surgery on July 10!
Thank you!!
