But good sound gear is expensive and we can't afford all the equipment that would enable us to produce better sounding podcasts, more frequently and with guests both remote and face-to-face, so we are asking for some help to 'Get The Wildlife Garden Podcast Some Gear'.
Our cheap PC microphones are far from ideal for a two person podcast, and are causing us a huge headache when it comes to the edit. We continue to squirrel away our own pocket money to save for better equipment but with your support, we can get there quicker! And if we beat our target, every penny will be re-invested into the Podcast (not spent on beer).
If everyone who listened to our podcast donated £5 we could raise all the money we need within a week! If you would like to support us, any donation is seriously appreciated. And in return, we promise to continue to bring you the best tips for your wildlife garden, interviews with experts, book reviews and much more besides.
With the money we raise, we could buy:
A podcast mixing board and accessories
Dynamic podcast microphones and accessories
Software to record guests online with high-fidelity audio
Headphones and microphones for interviewing guests face-to-face
Wearable recorders for garden 'walk arounds' with guests
With any more...
Any extra will allow us to put more time into the podcast production. We could buy a wider range of microphones for capturing the soundscape of gardens and sounds of nature, or pay for website and podcast hosting fees, travel for interviews and stock music.
If we are really lucky and exceed our targets, we can set aside time from our working week to research, produce and release extra episodes.
Thank you for donating, and we will see you in the next episode.
