Guatemala Mission Trip
Every summer, the Interact Club of St. Pius X High School in Kansas City, Missouri, brings a group of high school students to some of the poorest regions in Guatemala, where we work to provide aid for locals in need. We are high schoolers seeking to change the lives of those who live in constant poverty.
This June, we will build chicken coops, providing a source of food and income as they can also sell eggs, donate water filtration systems, giving them an easy source of clean water, and bring sick-bags filled with a variety of toiletries and necessities they would not have access to otherwise. We are making this go fund me because this year we want to go an extra mile.
With the $1,250 we will purchase the materials to build five stoves, and in turn, make a lasting impact on five more families. Without these stoves, the families must cook over an open flame within their home, forcing the children and family members to breath in harmful amounts of smoke. These stoves are a more efficient means of cooking than the open flames, and are also much cleaner, as they are designed to carry all of the smoke out of the house through a chimney.
Every single donation is appreciated. With your help, we can bring a lasting change to these families' lives, and help to greatly improve their quality of living.
