Emily's Medical Fund

This is my Emily!  She is my 36 year old sister that is disabled.  A few weeks ago her and my mother traveled with us on vacation to Panama City Beach to relax at the beach.  She wanted to support my sons, her nephews that would be playing baseball in the Grand Slam World Series.  Our visit to PCB was far from normal as Tropical Storm Cindy set in during the first half of the week which kept Emily inside most of the time.  On the morning of Thursday June  22nd she wasn't her normal self.  She didn't spring out of bed like her usual self and we sensed something was wrong.  She didn't speak or interact much with us.  As the morning progressed she became really lethargic and unresponsive.  We immediately called 911 for medical help.  After being transported to the hospital several tests were run and it was determined she had pneumonia and sepsis. 
Emily was admitted to Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center in Panama City and rushed into ICU where she was intubated.  She remained in ICU for several days.  She left ICU on Sunday June 25th and we were so excited that she might be able to come home by the end of the following week.  On Thursday June 29th her condition took a turn for the worse and she was moved back into ICU where she still remains.  My Mom has stayed by her side through all of this.  My family extended our stay an additional week thinking she would be able to travel home with us at the end of June.  This didn't happen.  My mom is still in the hospital with her, with a limited amount of clothes, (remember we were 350 miles from home), unsure of when she will get her daughter home.
The doctors have agreed that there is a possiblity of a medical transport, but the insurance will likely deny it.  We would like to get Emily home to North East Georgia Medical Center where she can consult with her regular doctors.  Emily has had ongoing medical problems and takes a plethora of medications.  (by the way... she had a check up the Friday before we left for PCB and was healthy and her normal self) Currently she can't take her Humira (arthritus medication) because it weakens her ability to fight off infection.  She has been in extreme pain from the withdrawals from this medication.  We understand that her recovering from pneumonia is much more important in the scheme of things, but it is just hard to hear her agonize with back and neck pain.  On top of that, the doctor has stated that this could last 6 days, 6 weeks, or even 6 months. 
This has taken a toll on all of our family.  Missing work for a week without pay, extending our stay doubled our expenditures, and us driving back to PCB this upcoming week, and mom having to eat every meal at the hospital. Not to mention the hospital bills that are stacking up even though we have insurance.
Numerous people have asked if they could donate money to help us out, so I am providing an outlet.  There's no doubt that if Emily were in NEGMC that visitation for Emily would occur more and would be much more helpful.  More than anything else, I am asking for PRAYERS for a speedy recovery for my dear sister!
