Silenced Film

Our short film Silenced takes on this topic of CSA. We dive directly into the life of Ella, a young girl who falls victim to sexual abuse at the hands of a family member. Born into a working household, Ella’s parents were so involved in their careers they developed a daily routine and in the process neglected Ella. With no support system at home and fearing retaliation, Ella was forced to live her life in silence and accept her circumstance as reality. This film explores common behaviors associated with CSA and gives an emotional insight on the topic. We are asking for your support in funding this project. With a message this strong, we want to make sure this film is produced and represented in the best way possible.
    In a society that is desensitized by rape culture, it is incredibly easy to unintentionally overlook the signs of molestation. With technology being a vital part of everyday life, we as adults tend to get lost in our screens, not realizing that our youth are abandoned and left learning to live life alone. According to the American SPCC, 58,000 girls were reported to be sexually abused last year. Potentially 325,000 children are put at risk of becoming victims of commercial child exploitation each year. With this project we are hoping to encourage children and parents alike to have the courage to start the conversation. We want them to be able to identify the early stages of CSA (child sexual abuse) and recognize the signs in order to help prevent CSA.
