Help My Dad See Again

My name is Marlee and earlier this month my dad, Michael “Redd” lost his eye sight. He was battling pneumonia and after taking some steroid medications he lost his eye sight in his only “good” eye. My dad has Macular Degeneration in both eyes. One eye is considered dry, the other (recently blind) is wet. He gets monthly injections in the wet eye to shrink the blood vessels that grow inside. He’s been to a few different specialists including Kellogg Eye Center. There, he was given some glasses but they had to be returned because they didn’t work for him. Recently, we found him a specialist in Livonia at Suburban Eye Care who specializes in his disease and have something called E-Scoop glasses. These prism glasses help correct his vision so things aren’t all meshed together. He goes January 11th for his exam and to get fitted for the glasses. My dad for 19 years has been involved in NA ( Narcotics Anonymous ) he became clean on my 8th birthday and since then helps others get the help they need and he remains a strong support system. My dad has the biggest heart and always helps a friend in need. I’m creating this GoFundMe page to help raise the cost of the exam and the glasses. Since my dad is disabled he doesn’t have the funds for these glasses and I don’t want to see him sell off everything he has, which he told me he will do to get his vision back. I know it’s almost Christmas, I’m just trying to give my dad the best and only Christmas present he needs. Thank you for reading and God Bless.
