Alicia Healy's Team

In early December of 2017, Alicia and her husband, Mike were in the midst of trying to start a family.  After one of their fertility appointments, they received news that there were masses on her ovaries and received a diagnosis of ovarian cancer.  The following week, Alicia had a complete hysterectomy and seven tumors were removed from her abdominal cavity. From this surgery, we learned that the origin of cancer was from her gastrointestinal track resulting in the final diagnosis of: Stage IV, Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (G.I.S.T.).

 G.I.S.T. is an extremely rare cancer. Alicia’s specific tumor is only seen in 1% of patients, which makes treatment for her cancer even more complex. Currently, there is no cure for this cancer. This is why Alicia is working with a large medicalteam, including her primary Dr. in New York City.

 Alicia & Mike are self employed, which means their income will be compromised during this time.  Alicia’s businesses, Small Print and Silver Pet Print has helped thousands of people in the Rochester community feel supported through her handmade creations of loved ones’ hand/paw prints. She is well known in the area for her compassion and love for others. Now it’s time to give the love and support back to Alicia!
