Al Sadaqat Al Jariah for Shahab Family

Assalaam Alaikum,Dear Community Members, I am here to present a case for a family that is in a very specific need. Recently a family came from Pakistan with three children. They are currently residing in Houston, TX. The older daughter is working at McDonald's night shift so she can provide for the family. They belong to a much respected family in Pakistan. The mother, Naveen Shahab, was working as an assistant vice President in a well-known bank in Karachi, Pakistan. Out of the three children, two are suffering from Muscular Dystrophy (MD). Naveen's two sons, Zaman and Ali, are suffering from MD. Muscular Dystrophy (MD) is a group of muscle diseases that weaken the musculoskeletal system and hamper locomotion. Muscular dystrophies are characterized by progressive skeletal muscle weakness, defects in muscle proteins, and the death of muscle cells and tissue. There is no known cure for muscular dystrophy, although significant headway is being made with antisense oligonucleotides. Syed Zaman Sultan, 20 years old is the oldest, very ambitious child. He is currently persuing G.E.D. Doctors have said that his days to live are numbered but he is hopeful and still waiting for a miracle. Syed Ali Sultan, 10 years of age, a bundle of joy. He is a smart kid and enjoys playing video games. He roams around on his wheel chair all day long. He is currently going to School. Eventually he will be in the same state as his older brother. I visited this family couple of days ago. They are my close relatives. My kids had so much fun playing with them. My heart really goes out for the hardships they face day to day. I thought of doing something useful for them. They have a very specific need. They need a wheel chair accessible van so they get mobilized.I have done some research online to find that particular van. The price range may vary anywhere from 10-20K but I am looking for the least expensive vehicle that can fulfill their needs. Looking at Craigslist I have found one that could be a possibility. Please look for similar vehicles (http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/4120568024.html) During this blessed month of sacrifice and of self-reflection, we should give back to community for the sake and in name of Allah.
