Give Oscar A Voice Of His Own!
This is Oscar. Oz is 4 years old and has Cerebral Palsy. He's almost always happy, and smiling, and full of joy. As you can see, his smile lights up the room.
Oscar is virtually nonverbal, he can say Mum and Dada. He uses a device to speak. A wonderful machine that allows him to touch a series of pictures to tell us his wants and needs.
We know what Oscar's true voice sounds like. The voice that comes preprogrammed into his device is a generic gender neutral child's voice. It sounds nothing like our Oz. What it does sound like, is the same as a number of other device voices in his special needs preschool.
He's unique and his voice should be as well.
Oscar has an amazing opportunity to have a voice created specifically for him. VocalID can take a sample of his vocalizations and match/mix it with a donated voice. They then generate a computerized voice that closely matches his tone and pitch.

And just like that Oscar will have what most people take for granted, a voice of his own.
As this is not currently covered by insurance, we're trying to raise $1,500 so we can purchase a voice for Oz. Whatever help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Anything over our initial goal will go towards future voice, adaptive, or nutritional needs.
Even sharing this GoFundMe page would be a great help to us. Also, if you have the ability to donate your voice to help others in need, please go to:

Love to you all.
