Youseline's C-section

Donation protected
I met Youseline in September when she was about 5 months pregnant. She was working day in and day out to cook meals for all of us here at Mission of Hope in Haiti. Youseline knew I worked at the clinic and one day asked me to take her for an ultrasound because she was pregnant and had been experiencing some pain. This ultrasound revealed that Youseline has placenta previa and must have a c-section to ensure a healthy birth. In Haiti, woman all have their babies at home with assistance from the village's midwife. After the ultrasound, I asked Youseline which hospital she was planning on having her little boy at. She responded by telling me that if she has her baby at her house, then so be it. With placenta previa, having a baby vaginally poses a very large risk of hemorrhaging and bleeding out for the mother, and lack of oxygen leading to death for the baby. After extensive explaining from her doctor about her condition with PP, Youseline decided to go to the hospital in Port-au-Prince to get checked out. They sent her home with an estimated bill for all her C-section care of $3,000 US dollars. She showed it to me that same day with tears in her eyes, knowing there's no way she can have this c-section without help. Youseline's due date is January 21st meaning there is not a whole lot of time. She is a God fearing woman and constantly reminds me that Jesus is going to take care of her and her baby boy. We are so grateful that the good Lord gave us the knowledge of her condition and we ask now that you would prayerfully consider helping her financially so she is able to have this c-section and give her sweet baby, David, a safe delivery.
