Our world can change so fast!
Krystal and Kyle were so excited to welcome their beautiful baby boy
Kameron Lee Cresswell on 12/18/2019 but things suddenly changed and excitement turned to fear not even 12  hrs after his debut into the world. Kameron began to have rapid breathing and his oxygen level started dropping. He was transferred to NICU. He spent his first 8 days of life in there. On day 1 they ran a lot of tests and his blood culture came back positive with an infection. So Kameron was placed on oxygen and antibiotics.  A chest x-ray confirmed fluid in his little lungs.  At that point they assumed he had lung issues that had to do to the infection,  which completely explained needing oxygen. The Drs also wanted to rule out meningitis so they a did lumbar puncture and it was negative. After a day of antibiotics, the lab results showed the infection was negative but protocol was that Kameron had to receive 10 days of antibiotics. Kameron's care plan for the next 10 days was to ween him off oxygen, continue antibiotics, and go home at 10 days old after antibiotics were finished. On the 8th day his oxygen levels continued to drop as they tried to ween him off oxygen. The Dr ordered a echocardiogram, just to be safe Since they were unsure why Kameron still requiring oxygen. The Doctor was puzzled because the chest x-ray results showed his lungs were clearing. The Dr said he didn’t  think there was anything wrong with Kameron's heart he didn’t hear anything abnormal, but to rule it out the tests were ordered. After the echocardiogram was done they came back in and said they needed more images. Next thing we knew Kameron was being emergency transported to another hospital into their NICU Cardiac ICU for children.  Another echocardiogram was done and sent to the on call Cardiologist at home.  The cardiologist decided to come in and do another echocardiogram himself.  Of course by this time Mommy & Daddy are extremely scared.  The final diagnosis is a   heart condition, a Congenital Heart Defect called  Intracardiac Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venus Return (TAPVR) about 1 in 20,000 babies are born with this cardiac disease. Kameron’s severity will require open heart surgery tomorrow morning. At just 12 days old.
Krystal and Kyle both work full time. Krystal is on maternity leave from the hospital emergency room she works in,  she is also close to graduating  as a straight A student and will become a Registered Nurse soon! Kyle is a heavy equipment operator an has only worked a 1/2 a day since Kameron was born. He went back to work after being assured Kameron was stable, only to receive the call that he was being rushed to another hospital an being put in the ICU Cardiac unit.  Kameron has 4 siblings that live with Krystal and Kyle. They all missed being together for Christmas! They have not asked anyone for help. Even knowing their income is almost nothing now. It’s definitely not on the top of their list of concerns. Kameron’s life is...  Krystal and Kyle have both said they have never been so scared in their lives! They are going to be in need of some financial help to get through the next couple of months and for medical expenses not covered by insurance. Day by day is what they both say. But I’m coming to you, to ask if there is anything you can help with, no amount is to small. They have not left Kameron’s side except to go home and get clothes 1 time. And Kyle’s 1/2 day of work. They sleep in his room (what little sleep they’ve had). They are both just so worried about Kameron’s health and open heart surgery. I can’t even imagine how worried they are and I’d like to help them not worry about medications not covered on insurance, deductibles, or how they are going to pay their rent, gas, etc.. and have a place to come home too..   Kameron is expected to be in the hospital a minimum of 15 days after surgery tomorrow. Any donation helps, there is no amount to small. An if you can’t, that’s ok,  but will you all please say a prayer for all of them. It is so needed!  Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and considering to help this young family out...  message or call me with any questions you may have. I’ve been asked for Krystal’s PayPal, she doesn’t have one. If you’d like to donate and not use go fund me, you can send the money to me and I will immediately send it to her thru Zelle. I sent her money earlier this way and she literally had it in less then a minute. Thank you for considering this and all your prayers! You can use my email [email redacted]

Thank you again!
