Fighting the battle of Multiple Sclerosis for our loved one Lubna. In Early October 2013, 17 year old Lubna was diagnosed with MS. It is a devastating disease that she will have to battle for the rest of her life. She has been told that there is new and advanced medication that is not yet accessible to anyone who does not have private health insurance. So what now ?, a 17 year old child from a single mother household with limited financial resources...We need to help!!!!
MS is unpredictable, affecting vision, hearing, memory, balance and mobility. Its effects are physical, emotional, financial, and last a lifetime.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system which is composed of the brain and spinal cord. The disease attacks the myelin which is a protective covering wrapped around the nerves of the central nervous system.
What can we do for Lubna and her family, and what's best for her at this point? Aside from prayers, how can we support her with what's turning into the biggest battle of her life. Together as a group we realized that prayers and love were standard, but she will need more to battle this horrible disease. She will need financial support for newer and advanced medication, and long term mobility equipment. As we all know, Multiple Sclerosis progressively will get worse, which may effect her ability to live a normal life.
We all want the best for Lubna and her family. The best thing we can do for her is stay positive so that she can concentrate on recovery. So how are we going to do this? FUNDRAISING......PLEASE HELP US REACH OUR GOAL!
