Help Support Refugee Family Funeral Costs

Donation protected
Irene Ingabire’s daughter, Ivana Keza Ndunguste, was born on December 1st, 2022. When she got an infection on her leg, her family took her to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Ivana was admitted at Children's where she remained for two months. Ivana tragically passed away Monday night 4/24 after losing her battle with the infection - she was only 5 months old.

The Mukandoli family, of which Irene Ingabire is a part, immigrated to Nashville as refugees in September 2022 through NICE (Nashville International Center for Empowerment). They are originally from the Eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The family lived in refugee camps based in Rwanda for 25 years after the war started in 1996 in the Eastern part of Congo. Since they were resettled last year, the family is still adjusting to life in the USA. Sebageni Bizimana, the patriarch of the family, had just started working his first job at Tyson 3 months ago.

You can make a difference by donating directly to this family in their time of need. Your donation will go directly to the family. The funds will go towards funeral costs and any lost wages during this time of mourning.
