Mobile Aid for "Scooter"
Donation protected
Most likely you have met Scooter and our daughter, Bailey, in Ocean Beach at some point in the last few years since she adopted him. Scooter was born with limited use of his front legs as they are severly deformed at the elbow and he has incompletely developed muscles and bone throughout both legs. Scooter is a happy dog though and has never known anything different so he gets around on most soft surfaces pretty well by walking on his forelimbs without straightening his legs- basically an army crawl. Over the years he's developed chronic calluses, toughened up his elbows to take over for his paws but he's going to be 11 years old on February 20th and despite still being a spry, handsome fella- we would like some help in getting him a front end cart/wheelchair to help him continue to enjoy his life without pain and stress on his front legs. The initial quote is around $600 but there could be some extra charges once his measurements are completed. Any excess money left over will be donated to the San Diego Humane Society on Gaines Street. I will make the first donation to start the process. Thanks in advance on helping Scooter to get his wheels!
