Hey friends,
I want to share with you a challenging ministry opportunity God has presented to me! From July 8, 2018 through July 22, 2018, I will be participating in an extreme mission to the Amazon, in Brazil, with a team of Adventist college and university students organized through ADRA Connections. On this mission trip, I will be living on a boat accommodating 25-30 people. Our two-week trip will focus on traveling to the heart of the Amazon to complete an entire new school. All the people involved in this mission trip will assist in building the Massauari Adventist Technical School. The project will help young people, like me, to get an education in a remote area where educational opportunities are limited. The purpose of this trip is threefold for me: First, I will be allowing God to work in my life through the personal enrichment that comes from this type of mission trip. Second, this prayer journey will help me focus my individual prayers by traveling to a foreign land and praying “on-site with insight.” I will pray for the people that God may open their eyes and hearts to the message of Jesus. Third, I want to use my hands and heart to provide a brighter future for a student like me. I'm excited about the opportunity and experience that lies ahead. I hope you see the value in what I intend to accomplish. As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people. I need to raise a total of $3500. $2000 must be raised by May and the remainder of the funds by June. If you can support me in a financial way, I would be very grateful. And, most importantly, I also need your prayer support. Prayer is the fuel that will allow me to be successful as I follow God's leading in ministry in this part of the world.
