Portia Smith

Jon and Portia Smith (newlyweds and parents-to-be) suffered a severe tragedy. Jon was visiting a lifelong friend's house where there was a firearm.  The gun was accidentally discharged by another visitor, striking Jon in the head. Jon was rushed to UMC, underwent emergency surgery and was put on life support. Jon's family rallied by his side but unfortunately he was pronounced clinically brain dead Wednesday, Sept 17th.  Portia Smith has decided to donate his organs to help save others that are in need of organ transplants. Portia prays the gift of life will help Jon's legacy live on.

Portia is a very brave soul, as she deals with the loss of her beloved husband. They are expecting their first child in 3 weeks. Unfortunately, Jon will never have the opportunity to hold their daughter, but she will grow up knowing her dad's last gift was the precious gift of life.   

Please take this opportunity to help a grieving family at this unimaginable time in their life. Please give what you can to help Portia pay for an unexpected medical and  funeral expenses, and to help assist in the arrival of their first child
