NEED HELP!! Kristoff came to us at the end of August from a shelter in Southwest Virginia. When he arrived with his siblings we noticed that his tongue would stick out all of the time and we thought it had something to do with his teeth. When Sierra started giving him dewormer, she told me that she thought something was more wrong with his mouth. We sent him to Dr. Emily and she x-rayed his jaw to find out that it was broken for sometime and that it was trying to heal. She told us not to worry that it should heal on its own just to keep him on soft food and no toys or playing with his siblings. :( This week the girls started noticing that he was swelling under his jaw so back to Dr. Emily he went. Found out today that his saliva glands are messed up due his broken jaw and will need to either have it drained every two months or have surgery at Virginia Tech. We, being a small rescue, do not have the funds to send a dog to Virginia Tech to have surgery. So we are asking for someone to adopt this special needs pup or help raise the funds needed for his surgery. He is only six months old and has been through so much already.
