Mother and 2 yr old burned in accidental explosion

On 2/22/24 Hailey and Kayson (2 years old)was involved in a tragic accident. Hailey and Kayson was outside burning some trash. An aerosol can exploded and Kayson’s jacket caught on fire. After the accidental explosion, Hailey jumped into action to aide Kayson causing extensive burns to her hands. Kayson received burns to his face, right arm and both hands. They were both brought to the nearest emergency room and Kayson was then life flighted to a pediatric burn center in Lafayette. On 2/23/24 both and Hailey and Kayson went to the operating room for debridement of their burns. They will both be going back to the operating room again on 2/27/24 where Kayson will have debridement again and they can assess his wounds. Hailey will be having a debridement again as well as skin grafts to her right hand. Kayson is currently in a medically induced coma so that he can rest and heal and to allow the swelling to go down. We have been told that he will have multiple trips to the operating room. This tragedy has faced their family with having to be out of town and out of work due to medical care. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated to help them out financially. Please pray for this family.
