Rachael Dawn's journey

Donation protected
Rachael Dawn Petrich suffered an anoxic brain injury in late May, early June of 2016. This was brought on by progressive and undiagnosed Hashimoto's disease and Addison's disease. I had known her family for years prior, but have had the distinct honor of getting to know Rachael as she fights to recover. She is full of life, pretty as a picture, and in need of more therapy and treatment. These things take time and specialized care. She has the decided good luck of youth, in that with proper treatment, she can resume a full, real, independent life; she also has the decided bad luck of youth, in that there are not affordable programs for her, as she is an anomaly that is underserved. Help is out there - but it comes at a cost. I ask that you think of your own children, and what you would hope others might do for them. We will all certainly need help and grace in this life. Kim Willett, Rachael's mom, once saved me with a simple, thoughtful phone call. Please help me return the favor. Your donations are gracious, loving, meaningful and acts of love and integrity.
