Hello from the Kelly Family
As you may or may not know, the pillar of our family, Rick Kelly, had a massive heart attack on Wednesday. It was told to us that Rick was found unconscious with no pulse outside his gym in Lake Mary. He had to be revived several times by a 23 year old Planet Fitness employee until Lake Mary's Fire department came where he had to be shocked. He was taken to South Seminole and then airlifted to ORMC. In the wee hours of the Thursday morning a doctor came in and told his family that within the next 24 hours they would need to be making some serious decisions as he did not know how long Rick had been without oxygen. We were also informed that Rick's heart is only working at a 5% capacity. Our family was distraught.
I am pleased to report that Rick has been taken off the ventilator and the balloon has been removed from his heart. He still has a long way to go and is expected to probably not return to work.
If you were blessed enough to have ever met Rick Kelly, you would know that even though he does not have a lot, he would give you everything he had should you need it. He lives his life knowing (and sharing) that God would provide for him no matter how bad it is.
Rick now needs our help. The medical bills have already started to mount (including the helicopter bill) and Rick has already begun to worry. That is the last thing he needs is additional stress. This is the reason that Rick's friends have started this account.
If Rick has ever touched your heart either by just being there listening to you or sharing that Santa smile that he has, please consider donating to this family to ease the pressure of these mounting bills. No amount is too small and it will truly go to helping someone that deserves to be helped.
