Update: Friday 3rd November: Marley hit by a car and at the emergency vets waiting for an xray.
In October 2017, after many months of feeling something wasn't right, and a couple more in a lot of pain, doctors finally found a cyst & a football sized tumour on my right ovary.
Despite looking and feeling several months pregnant and incredibly exhausted all the time, I had been told I just had IBS, a stomach bug, and later, constipation. I had suggested ultra sounds to check my ovaries to GPs but these were also dismissed.
Only 3 weeks ago in A&E I was told I was too young to be worried about my ovaries. I was then booked in to have the surgery for removal Friday 17th November, over 4 weeks after finding it. I suppose there's no rush, I've been in pain long enough...
Then last week something ruptured and was bleeding into my stomach. I went in for surgery the very next day.
The surgeon succesfully removed the tumour (Thanks George)
I also had a full hysterectomy.
Everyone at St James's was amazing. Thanks NHS.
I have just spent 8 days in hospital, and have been off work on Statutory Sick Pay for 3 weeks now.
I told myself not to stress about the financial strain of being out of work but knowing I will not recieve any support with housing or bills for up to 6 weeks, is a little concerning.
There's enough to think about while I wait for my biopsy results and find out whether it has spread and if I will need Chemotherapy.
Who do I ask and how?
Family? Friends? My employer?
So I shamelessly ask everyone to donate just One pound!
To help me keep up with my Rent, my bills and to feed me and the cats until I have the funds to keep me afloat.
To make matters worse, the day after getting out of hospital my cat Marley (aka Small Cat) was hit by a car. And she is not insured.
What else could go wrong???
Thank you in advance. - Vicki x
