For Nadine, With Love

Nadine Grace made her way into the world on July 4th, 2017 after only 36 weeks in-utero. She was welcomed by her loving parents and two older siblings, Lydia and Ronan.
It was only the day before her delivery that her parents, Cassidy and Kyle, got the news about Nadine. Cassidy had an ultrasound due to her increase in size and swelling, which showed that Nadine had fluid in her abdominal cavity, lungs, and pericardial sac. The doctors were concerned enough to schedule an emergency c-section for the next morning.
Shortly after birth, Nadine was whisked off to the NICU where doctors removed the fluid from around her heart. She was hooked up to a ventilator, and they placed chest tubes to drain the fluid from her lungs and abdomen. All the while, Cassidy and Kyle had so many unanswered questions.
The doctors informed them that Nadine has what is called Non-Immune Hydrops. The mortality for this condition is, unfortunately, very high. Non- Immune Hydrops not a diagnosis, but a clinical indicator of a wide variety of potential disorders. A plethora of tests have already been performed and sent away to evaluate for both genetic disorders and infections. Until the results come in, all they can do is wait, hope, pray, and keep Nadine in stable condition. They are finding comfort in the daily victories of this long road ahead.
Not only am I looking for donations for Cassidy and Kyle, but also for prayers. Prayers to strengthen Nadine, comfort her family, and guide the physicians and nurses to provide our sweet girl with the best care possible.
Kyle fortunately has insurance, so the majority of their medical bills will be covered. However, they are still bound to incur expenses, such as gas money for the 36 mile round trip to the hospital twice a day. Kyle will also need to take unpaid time off work to help Cassidy with the kids and/or be at the hospital with Nadine. I want to help alleviate some of the financial burden that accompanies having a child who is very ill so Cassidy and Kyle can focus on Nadine and their two other children.
