as most of you know, joe and i have had some health issues over the years. joe's cancer has made him unable to work since may. i was out of work for almost a year last year due to medical reasons. we were just barely getting by thanks to help from family and friends. because of being out of work, my entire paycheck goes to current and past due medical insurance premiums. we are behind on our bills and even have to skip dr appts and medications due to lack of money. we have recently been humbled to accepting the amazing generosity of a local food pantry. the money i am hoping to raise is our past due mortgage. we are days away from being foreclosed on. i wouldn't ask, but the stress and pressure of our financial situation is taking its toll on joe. we have a 7 year old son, and i want to do anything in my power to ensure his father is in his life as long as possible. we both work for the federal government, and this shutdown has gotten rid of that final thread that was helping us keep it somewhat together financially. any help would be appreciated. the smallest amount would make the difference! god bless and thank you!
