Help Wrightway find a new home
Donation protected
As many of you know, Wrightway Rescue is near and dear to Nia's heart. She has done a number of fund raisers in the past to help support their mission. After a bus crashed into their buliding yesterday they need us now more than ever. Please consider donating. Amazing things happen there and we'd hate to see it stop now.
October 3, 2013 (NILES, Ill.) (WLS) -- Wright-Way Rescue dogs and cats were placed in foster homes after a school bus crashed into the Niles animal shelter, causing heavy-damage to the building.
The operators of the shelter are looking for a new location the day after a school bus crashed into the front of the building. No children were onboard and none of the shelter's 12 employees or 14 animals was injured. The one cat that escaped during the chaos was found unscathed.
"We basically are homeless. The building doesn't appear to be savable. So Wright-Way Rescue needs to be rescued. We have no building, and we operate on about 10-percent of the budget that similarly -sized organizations do," Christy Anderson said.
