Jon’s Celebration Of Life

Donation protected
On Wednesday October 18 Jon left this world to fly free. He was a man of many talents, world traveler and thrill seeker. He was brought in this world on August 25, 1982 and came home to live on August 26th. Jon was adopted and so very loved by his family and friends. From day one we knew he would be someone special and he would touch the lives of so many. He loved baseball, cars and knives growing up. He was that kid who altered the go carts and RC cars to make them crazy fast. He was a risk taker and thrill seeker. From the point he could climb and jump he did, many times did we hear a loud thud only find he had climbed on the counters and jumped and later climbing higher to jump. This jumping as a child later turned into a passion for skydiving and base jumping. Always the thrill seeker, what would be his next adrenaline rush? He served his country as a United States Marine Scout Sniper and he did so we such pride. He was an honorable and fearless warrior in every aspect of his life. He served as a security contractor with many of his brothers in both Iraq, Afghanistan and beyond. He has traveled all over the world and beyond. Where ever he went and whoever he met, he touched their lives in a way I cannot explain. Jon was truly and extrodinary man. He was loved by so many, cherished by more. He kayaked the entire Mississippi River and biked across the US from California to Florida in support of Diabetes Research and Cancer Research. He was such a selfless man, if he had to give he gave and even if he didn't have it give he found a way.
Jon wouldn't want regret nor would he want you questioning yourself if you had done enough, instead he would want you to remember him for who he was. Kind, honorable, caring, loving, passionate, thrill seeker, trust worthy, world traveler and most of all a Brother and family. As his sister I ask that you cherish his memories, share his legacy with his children as they become of age to understand and keep him alive to them thru you. They deserve to know him as you all knew him. They are his legacy as well as all of you, please help me, help their moms and help them remember what an amazing loving, kind man he truly was. I don't want them to every forget him.
Many have asked if there was a GoFundMe set up for him so that his brothers and family can help lay him to rest. Jon was cremated and he will be scattered in late Spring in Joshua Tree. I will keep this updated as to when and location. The purpose of this is to help with park entrance fees and what is left will be given to his children. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your devotion and love for Jon.

Love Always,
Amber (sister), Liana (neice), Aurelia, Waylon and Emma.
