Help Christian beat Guillain Barrè

A wonderful young man, and son of Mike McCormick and Sheila Houchins had tragedy hit just days after graduating from high school. After graduating with honors and as he was getting ready for the next step in his life, he became seriously ill and was almost immediately immobilized. After running tests and having numerous medical experts looking at his situation, he has been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome. This terrible syndrome can strike anybody, at any age and it has struck Christian with a vengeance that has been unforgiving. He has been unable to speak, move or breath without assistance since Friday June 8th, 2018 and is currently in ICU.
Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is a disorder in which the body's immune system attacks part of the peripheral nervous system. In Christian’s case, it has been severe with almost total paralysis at this time. This disorder can be life threatening - potentially interfering with breathing and at times with blood pressure and heart rate. This is considered a medical emergency and Christian is fighting to live! This battle is going on each hour and day at this time. He has been put on a ventilator to assist with breathing and is being watched closely by medical professionals and his family. They will be looking at next steps in his treatment, as they try to gain stability and control over a very scary and unpredictable disorder. He may be moved to a different hospital, and is requiring a high level of care and will continue to do so for many months or even years as he fights to regain his life back.
