Jamies Fight

I’m Kayla, I work at RRHSF, as we all wish we could do more I figured this was a great start! I copied and pasted what Ryan (Jamie’s husband) had updated on the Facebook page! First the family would like to thank everyone for their support, prayers words of encouragement and patience over the last 3 weeks. It has been an absolute roller coaster filled with every emotion one could imagine. Mostly fear of the unknown and wondering what will come next. As many know and a lot more do not Jamie has been ill for a few months and while we thought it was perhaps just her gallbladder things changed a few weeks ago. Since then our lives have been filled with more questions than answers and a lot of tests. Ultra sounds, MRI scans, CT scan, 3d CT scan a liver biopsy and tons and tons and tons of lab work. What we have learned so far. Jamie's has multiple masses on her liver likely to be malignant. Possible matasteses on her T11 and L1 vertebry as well as a nodule on her left lung. A liver biopsy was done 9-29-17 with results expected in 3 days. We have yet to receive the results as they were sent to the Mayo clinic for further testing. The have had the biopsy at Mayo since 10-4 still we have not recived the results. Trust me when I tell you they have been contacted everyday by multiple Doctors. Jamie had a infusion at the infusion clinic in Fargo on 10-6 Do to calelipademia (Excessive calcium in her blood) this is common in cancer patients and we were able to meet the oncologist that same day. Still no conclusive diagnoses was reached as we were waiting on the biopsy but everyone Dr feels this is cancer they just don't know what type and where it came from. Hearing the oncologist say " If this is cancer it's stage 4" is something no one should hear but we did that day. This brings us to today. We still don't have a diagnoses but we have been referred to the Mayo clinic in Rochester where we are currently sitting in the ER waiting room. Now everyone knows what's up and what we know. We know what the signs are saying but with all of your prayers and supports we are going to beat this. There is a a group for anyone who wants updates.
