for the love of mike so much news coverage on the vma's, miley cyrus, corrupt police, burglary, shootings and even syria. . all the while there's a story of a brave soldier not being told, till now. mike pyle was diagnosed with a rare cancer , monophasic synovial sarcoma, that developed as a result of a chemical attack while he served in the gulf. his right leg was amputated and a near death hospital visit with a pulmonary embolism. while going thru his chemo treatments, his wife, was pregnant with their son, and raising their small daughter. mike fought hard to survive . this family has survived obstacles that no family should endure. and yet - if you saw this family, saw their smiles or heard their laughter, you would never know their struggles. they are thankful for each day. the children are blessed to still have their daddy tuck them in at night, and tickle their toes. krysty is blessed to still have her soulmate at her side. it's been 3 years since mike was diagnosed with cancer. he was the provider of the family. they lost their home, and personal precious belongings while waiting for the government to give mike his benefits thru the military. yesterday- they were told it could be another 2-5 years before he receives anything. we aren't even guaranteed a tomorrow. he served his country , and served it well. people stand at the corners begging for money, while they could be working. . mike, with only one leg- works at the greenfield home depot to provide for his family. he has made so many sacrifices . for the love of mike, i pray this story gets told. i pray the media will spotlight a real story worth being told. please share with friends, local media and write to your local congressman to help this family . 9/12/13 mike was informed today that his cancer has returned in his lung. please keep mike, his wife , and two small children in your prayers . 9-27-13 mike was just told today that his cancer has recurred , in both lungs. stage 4, as a result from the chemical attack in the first gulf . please help this family . we've contacted the congress. it's always about the paper work . drs have been writing letters to help them. he was diagnosed with the cancer in 2010. he's been waiting a very long time. their worst fear has come true. this is a very aggressive cancer that spreads to the lungs and chest area. this family is entitled to military benefits as a result of confirmed attacks causing his particular cancer. praying something is done soon. https://www.facebook.com/pages/attitude-is-everything-cancer/467771419981580 donations and well wishes can be sent to 933 keen court, greenfield in 46140 november 27th at ro's bar and grill, we will be hosting a benefit to help raise awareness and money for this family. blue river band will be there performing. door prizes and raffles from local merchants. please save the date and plan to attend . for questions:[email redacted]
