Westminster School Harvey Relief

This is Melody and her family. She recently had her home severely damaged by Hurricane Harvey in Houston. Unlike many with resources she has had to continue to live in her home which is now infested with rats and roaches, and the walls are full of black mold. The Lord has called this crew from Westminster School in Birmingham, AL to be His Hands and Feet for His Glory. The need is overwhelming. She recently lost her job because she had to tend to her family and her home in the aftermath of the storm. I can’t begin to tell you how positive Melody is. She is rolling up her sleeves with her youngest daughter Aniyah and they are hopeful for a new beginning. I asked her what one thing would transform her family’s lives the most and she responded in tears: “Air”. She has no air condition. And I can’t begin to describe how pungent the odor is in her home and how hot the Houston heat is. Only Jesus can rescue this family and quite frankly only Jesus can rescue any of us but would you consider rising up as His Body to help provide her with “Air”. We are going to be doing a lot of repairs over the next few days but this is something where we will need more help.Lord willing there will be an abundance in response to this and anything above and beyond we will ask the local church here sponsoring us to use to help Melody and her family.
