In Memory of Burgess Hu

Burgess Hu was a member of the Byron student body at both Excelsior Middle School and Discovery Bay Elementary for the past 6 years. During that time he was more than a student, he was a friend, a teammate, a scout, and role model. He was an extremely bright, optimistic young man, who had passion for learning and performing. He paid special attention to the arts and worked hard to share his love of Boy Scouts. His face was always covered with a cheek-to-cheek smile and he readily gave more than he received. Burgess worked very hard as a student and made Excelsior a better place with his presence.

Burgess lost his life in a tragic vehicle accident on Monday.

If you would like to help with the funeral costs for Burgess Hu, you can donate here. They are a very private family and are overwhelmed with this tragedy and didn't want donations but the cost of Burgess' service is too much for their family.
