Amber's Fight Against Breast Cancer

Donation protected
On September 10, 2015 My 2 Best friends EricJohn and Amber Garcia had their third child, both at the age of 32 (they are both born in the same month and year, just 4 days apart). They both were so excited for big sister and big brother to meet their new baby sister. After finding out they were pregnant Amber was determined that this time She would breast feed her baby as her two older children was fed by baby formula. Amber thought it was going to be super hard since her two other children weren't breast fed. It was such an AMAZING feeling to see my best friend succeed in breast feeding her new baby girl. It's the most natural & healthiest milk to give a baby it also creates such an amazing bond for Mommy & Baby. In November 2015 Amber noticed a small lump on her chest just above her right breast and around mid center close to her nipple was another growth both 2 inches. During that same month, that was when Med Quest had terminated Amber's medical coverage from her. For a family of 5 and a stay home mom the state claims that Ericjohn makes too much money for the qualifying income. Which comes to my question of, "Why don't they help families that really need the help? The ones that are actually trying to make a good living?" Just with her husbands income alone after all bills are paid for they would be lucky if the Ohana had at least $300 for food and gas so Ericjohn can go to and from work. Health insurance through Ericjohn's work would almost cost more than what they would have had left for food and gas. So throughout the year Amber would try to research online to see how much it would cost if she went through a private insurance. No Luck! Throughout the years Amber have been worrying and trying to figure out how she would come up with some extra money to get it checked with having no medical insurance support. Finally Ericjohn tells her, just go in to see their primary care physician and they'll just deal with the bill as it comes. Amber made the appointment and went. She was hoping for the best and thought it was mastitis (plugged milk duct) in her breast. Amber's nurse practitioner did her examination and felt she wanted to make sure it wasn't seriously major and referred Amber to the surgical doctor. The surgical doctor ordered an ultrasound. After going to the ultrasound appointment Amber's surgical doctor ordered a biopsy to get some samples of her 2 lumps which both are 2 inches. On Wednesday, September 27, 2017 was the day Amber found out that her biopsy tested positive for breast cancer (Invasive Ductal Carsinoma). As Amber was sitting there alone with her doctor in the room Amber Could not register the news she just heard. All she could do was hysterically cry in fear, scared of dying at the age of 33 years old and leaving her three beautiful children, and amazing husband and the rest of her family and friends behind. Upon entering her car Amber had a rush of anxiety and fear and started to frantically cry again, calling her husband Ericjohn with the news. He felt so sorry for her, sorry that she have to go through a tough fight for something he thought she don't deserve. NO ONE deserves to have ANY CANCER! Ericjohn told Amber that she is very strong and need to do what ever she can to beat this and to FIGHT HARD! She called her big sister April (mind you April at the time was in California visiting her daughter who just had a new baby girl). Amber told her the news and both of them were crying hysterically. Amber told her that She needed her because she's the one that knows more about medical period. April calmed Amber down by telling her that she will be by her side every step of the way and she'd be flying back home on Monday evening. After hanging up with her, Amber collected herself before driving herself and children back home from KVMH. Upon reaching home Amber called me to update me on how her doctors appointment and test went since She's previously mentioned to me. She told me she was terrified of going through treatment and why did I have to get cancer. I could not believe what my ears just heard. My heart was so broken to hear such news. The unbearable heart ache pain feeling was so intense it just took my breath away. As her best friend it is my duty to make sure that Amber & Her Ohana will have all the support they will need and Amber knowing that SHE IS STRONG AND SHE WILL FIGHT TO BEAT THIS!! Im currently planning to do several fundraisers to help with any medical expenses. My Goal is to help Amber & her Ohana get through this. Amber also texted our best friend Tianna who lives in Oahu. Tianna knew exactly the words to comfort Amber being that Tianna lost her father to cancer as well. Tianna & Her Husband & Amber's & Ericjohn's Families is also working with me on planning the fundraisers. Amber's mother in law Aunty Leah has also been helping to research on other natural remedies. As of today, Amber's doctors office, staff and other financial help aids are working hard to help her resolve her health insurance issue so we can get a PET scan (entire body) to find out what stage Amber's breast cancer is and to make sure it hasn't spread anywhere else in her body. Amber will need this PET scan ASAP so the doctors will know exactly On how to attack the cancer. So please, I humbly ask you for your prayers, and donation to help Amber get through this tough journey. We greatly appreciate your monetary support, positive vibes and prayers.
May you be abundantly blessed for your kind generosity. We believe that MIRACLES DO HAPPEN and SHE WILL FIGHT THIS!!!Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much),Crystal Kaiakapu (Amber's best friend)
