Mom Of 3 NeedsHelp After PR Disaster

My name is Almaris and I’m raising funds for my mom. I live in Maryland and I’m planning on using this funds to help my mom pay for temporary rent and medical expenses while she stays in Maryland while everything settles down in Puerto Rico. Alma Babilonia is a mom of 3 who suffers of cervical cancer, a collapsed lung and diaphragm, heart complications, and a recent hairline fracture in her lower back that will eventually leave her bed ridden. Recently, hurricane Maria a category 5 and 4, passed through the Island of Puerto Rico creating havoc and madness. Electricity and water services are halted in some places for up to 8 months. Medications are becoming a rarity and desperation over food, water, and gas are becoming an existential crisis for those still in the island. Do to Alma’s conditions she is required to sleep with a CPAP machine that assists her lungs while she sleeps. She also needs to be under radiation therapy for her cancer and radioactive medicine for her heart. Not all hospitals are functional at the moment in Puerto Rico. Alma was able to find a flight for October 29th to come to the Baltimore-Washington area in Maryland but she’s going to need help raising funds to help for housing (rent) and medical expenses regarding her therapy and her oxygen intake since she’s unable to work and has two children to take care of. Her oldest daughter Almaris(me) is trying her best to help and will be managing the fundraiser for her mom. At this point anything will help monetarily and hopefully together we can raise enough money to help with part of Alma’s emergency escape from the disaster this hurricane has caused to Puerto Rico.
