This is the beginning of Gabby's story ~~
I'm asking for some help from anyone & everyone ~ a lot of you may already know Gabby's story. She is the bravest little 8 year old girl I've ever known. She was born with a heart condition that resulted in open heart surgery @ 6mos old. Shortly after her 6'th birthday during a routine heart check, the family was informed that a large mass had been found under her ribs. Within a week she was diagnosed with kidney cancer and by August 2011 she was undergoing yet another surgery to remove her kidney and the large mass. During the surgery, the stage 2 tumor ruptured and became stage 3. She has endured many chemo & radiation treatments, only to have many ups and downs between. She has had a horrible relapse and this horrible cancer has come back with a vengeance as a tumor blocking her main airway. Her mother was given two options ~to do nothing more, or radiation to shrink the tumor so they can take the ventilator out so she could breath on her own until the tumor grows again. When I heard that her mother was told she could have only a few more months with her baby it broke my heart. Her mother Amy is a longtime friend, if I could have any wish in the world it would be to take all of this away from both of them. She has two other children to care for and if we as a group of her peers can do this much for this amazing family, how great would that be ! Any help would be greatly appreciated, and PLEASE keep this little girl in your thoughts & prayers....
