Help Sandie Get Through Chemo!

Our names are Melissa Clemens and Missy Gusky and we have been friends with Sandie Waid for over 15 years. Sandie is a wonderful mom to her two adult daughters and has cared for hundreds of patients as a geriatric nurse. She is a hard-working, kind, brave, strong and spiritual soul. Her strength, however, is under a serious challenge currently, due to her health situation. On July 10, 2017, Sandie was diagnosed with cancer. She has a very aggressive form of uterine cancer called serous adenocarcinoma endometrial. On July 17, she learned that it is in stage IV, meaning it has metastasized, or spread into other areas of her body. One week later, she started chemotherapy. In August, she began experiencing health insurance glitches that hopefully will be resolved soon. To date, Sandie has had three chemo treatments, with 6 rounds planned thus far. Her medical prognosis is one year. The future may hold more chemo, radiation and or surgery. Sandie is unable to work right now. Until she has a stable resolution for income, which we are diligently working on, there is no money coming in to pay for living expenses. Any help, including prayers, would be so greatly appreciated! Monetary donations during this gap period will be used for housing, food, phone and electric bills. We are hoping that if many people can give a little, it can provide a big stress and financial relief for a friend in need. We will post updates as new information arises.
